Check out the new free software and fun stuff released as part of our NANY (New Apps for the New Year) 2018 event on January 1, 2018: here.
Since 2007 we have held an annual event that we call NANY (New Apps for the New Year), where we ask the coders who hang out on DonationCoder to create some new piece of free software and share it with the world on January 1st of the new year. NANY is really the funnest thing we do on this site, and it's one of the few times we can all play together. There are no winners or losers, it's simply a celebration of programming and creating new software and sharing it with the world.

The Rule of 3 Drives: How to Build your Next PCAfter using a 3 drive setup for a few iterations, i'm convinced it's the way to go.
I thought i'd post about it for those who are building new PCs. The idea is to build your PC with 3 hard drives in it:
Some key points:
As a bonus, I highly recommend getting one of the pass-through sata rack systems for your C drive, and getting a spare HD. If you ever want to experiment or install a different OS to experiment with, you can swap out your main OS and swap in the alternate. -mouser |

Fusemail - Professional E-Mail ServiceFusemail Information
Website: http://www.fusemail.com I was initially looking to outsource e-mail for my company's communications. We found Fusemail. Although, we now use our web-hosts mail servers, one of the neat features of the webmail interface of fuse is that you can add POP3, IMAP, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.. all into the same interface, creating rules for that account for messages to go into one folder etc.. |

DonationCoder's Massive Annual Best Of the Web 2007 Retrospective is Now OnlineIt's a new year so you know what that means, right? It means it's time for the second annual "Best of the Web" retrospective roundup! Over 46,000 posts were made on the forum in 2007, and from those posts a collection of some of the most entertaining discoveries and debates have been featured in our 2007 edition. It's an impossible task to select just a small number of sites and essays to feature, so a lot of great ones were bound to be overlooked. Please share your views about any particularly glaring omissions. http://2007.donationcoder.com |
