PPcalc - Online Paypal Fee/Conversion Calculator and MoreThis was actually mentioned previously by someone else in a thread on micro-payment systems, but i've come across it a couple of times so thought it deserved it's own post: PPCalc.com is a free web-based PayPal fee calculator. It is an online tool that allows PayPal users to quickly calculate their PayPal fees before accepting a payment, or reverse calculate their fees to determine what amount a person must send them for them to receive a certain amount after fees. It supports calculating PayPal fees between different currencies and includes daily-updated currency exchange rates and support for cross-border transactions. It also supports PayPal's new Micropayments (digital goods) rate, and the new rate Personal accounts are charged for accepting limited credit card payments. It was originally written on May 13, 2005 and has been updated numerous times since to account for changes in PayPal fee rates. Currently, it supports calculating PayPal fees for 103 different countries and 16 different currencies and includes a built-in currency converter. http://ppcalc.com |

Web services to help you come up with good (domain and other) namesUseful tools: 1. Dislexicon - Takes common words and adds suffixes and prefixes. It even gives you the meaning. This site is great for finding short domain names that look like they could be real words. http://marcusvorwall...a-great-domain-name/ posted by mouser

Best Medical Diagnosing Links?Since this group is all over technology, I just knew someone would know this.
I'd be interested in what is the best Medical Self-Help website you have found? If you do a search for it you end up with a gazillion hits and eventually if you keep clicking down the path you end up at an advertisement. Links to homeopathic sites that have this feature would also be welcome. |

Wanted: Electronic/Searchable Holy BooksI have openly discussed my Atheism here on DonationCoder...
With that addressed up front, I have a serious/legitimate question... What are your recommendations for the "best" digital holy books? And by best, I mean in terms of academic research. I am interested in religious books in the same manner as I am interested in the classics of philosophy. I have a BA in Political Science from University of Chicago, with a focus on political philosophy and international relations (mostly the USSR - Class of '89 and the Cold War loomed). I understand there are many electronic version of holy books, but I have not done the research to find out which ones are best **for the purposes of scholarly study** (i.e. I am not interested in being converted). I would love to have tonnes of footnotes and references available. I would love for a version that contained the texts of all the major religions and would let me compare things like references to the same historical event, compare timelines, etc. If there were footnotes/references to secular texts that cover the same item would be icing on the cake. |
