Screenshot Captor Beats the Expensive Guys
Competing utility ScreenShot Captor handles multiple screenshots at once with ease, and it's donationware--rather than Easy Screen Capture and Annotation's $30. Those two differences (and the fact that Screenshot Captor also annotates just fine) make it clear that Screenshot Captor is the better choice here.

Starship dimensions

starships.png
Ever wondered how big the ships are in Star Trek, Star Wars, and others compared to our puny 21st century objects? Check out Jeff Russell's Starship Dimensions site:

This site is intended to allow science fiction fans to get an impression of the true scale of their favorite science fiction spacecraft by being able to compare ships across genres, as well as being able to compare them with contemporary objects with which they are probably familiar.

Amazing Flash Stickman Shooter Platformer (WPN Fire)

WPN Fire:
This one plays beautifully and is just oozing quality.  Tons of satisfying weapons, tons of shooting, jumping, murder and mayhem.. If you're into that kind of thing. The cartoony graphics, special effects, and audio are some of the best i've seen ever.  Gorgeous.

The game has tons of additional modes of play which are really interesting.. Really quality stuff.

Roller Coaster of Death -- Machinima Video

One of the best things about sim games is finding some way to turn them into violent death pits.

http://blog.wired.co...roller_coaster_.html

I could not put the title of this clip any better than the wired editor did.  My niece loved Roller Coaster tycoon but was very sad when we built a water pit and dropped one of the park visitors fell into it, who promptly drowned.  I wonder how she would feel about this experiment with a half-completed roller coaster..

Goal Enforcer: great time management software find!

Goal Enforcer 1.6: Project/Goal planning made simple.

Price: $29.95
URL:  http://www.goalenforcer.com

GoalEnforcer is based on the principles of human "Working Memory" and "Short Term Memory" in order to maximize the the efficiency of the user's thinking process. It has been known from extensive research that human "Working Memory/Short Term Memory" are optimal to hold around 7 items at a time. GoalEnforcer provides a graphical programming environment through the use of a designer window and a complete set of visual editing tools that can help you show tasks in groups not bigger than 7 at a time (on screen).

There is even a blog that was recently started to go along with this application and the author encourages you to submit suggestions and articles. The only bad thing I can see so far is that it's a demo, which has some features disabled, like printing and saving. I haven't been this excited over a program in a long time.

Order Out of Chaos; Progress Out of Order

Life is very complex. There are so many things to take care of in the course of the day. Imagine, however, if there was no semblance of order to our day. Upon waking one morning, we would see our clothes strewn across the floor, books and papers piled up everywhere, without arrangement or purpose. ..

Here's an interesting site for you to read in the spirit of our Great GOE of 2006 ...

Music services: Pandroa, Last.fm, and Yahoo Music

Screenshot - 10_22_2006 , 11_03_36 AM_thumb.png
Finding free music on the internet is a difficult process. Between the commercials, quality, selection, and features, it may seem that nothing will suit your needs. This article will review three of the most popular internet music providers: Pandora, Last.fm, and Yahoo! Music.
...
While Yahoo! ranked the highest in overall features, the commercials and song limit were enough to make me switch to another music provider. Pandora has become the provider I use most for my internet radio. Last.fm has great features on their site and a community building around it, but that has not been a significant enough draw to pull me away from Pandora.
