More Enjoyable After Donating?
It's my pleasure to support what is obviously a very good source of dedicated programmers, and I will have that much more enjoyment out of using Find & Run in the future.

CPUlight: Run application on low CPU level

I'm on the scrounge again.  Does anyone know of software (preferably free or low cost) which will run an application when the CPU level and/or disk activity falls below a certain limit or when the keyboard /mouse is idle (but able to set idle time in seconds rather than minutes.

Planetary Aggregation: Combining Blogs From Multiple People Into One Feed

planet.ubuntu.png
Planet is a feed aggregator, it takes various feeds from various sites (mostly blogs) and merges them in one big list. You can think of it as kind of the old-buzz-speech "channel". One cannot directly post on a planet, the content is pulled from other sites.

CreatingMinds.org - Great Website With Excercises for Creativity

creatingminds.png
CreatingMinds.org seems to be mainly targeted at artists and writers, but I don't see why the principles, techniques, and methods couldn't be applied to other things like software development...or even business.

There is a lot of good articles & tools on this site for unleashing your creative side...get you really thinking in new directions....both as an individual...or as a group.

If you are participating in the GTD experiment here at the site, after you get the clutter out of your mind by writing it all down, you might want to use some of that free mental space to do some really creative stuff.

MiniReview: Disclib - CD Cataloger

Disclib0.jpg
Disclib is a CD collection organizer program. It may be used as a catalogue of CDs. After creating the catalogue, disclib stores file and folder names and tree, allows user to categorize folders and files, and allows searching all the files from the collection CDs without need to place them in CD reader. Disclib may place in the catalogue any windows folder not only folders on CDs. Disclib has a customizable Multilanguage functionality. The program also extracts mp3 info.

Basically, it scans your CDs & DVDs and saves a "Table of contents" in a database or databases.

Dana Hanna (Software Jedi) plans to write 30 programs in 30 days

Screenshot - 9_13_2006 , 6_40_53 PM_thumb.png
I plan on writing 30 applications in 30 days. That's one per day... I haven't started yet, but keep watching here for more info.

The whole idea started as a dicussion on a plane ride. I was flying back from Houston with a fellow developer talking about web ideas...

EDITOR'S COMMENT: Our own Skrommel could almost lay claim to this achievement by accident.
