On Screen Status Display?Ok has anyone used a Logitech Keyboard with volume controlor a Microsoft one for that fact, well wen the drivers are installed long with the software, if you change the volume it shows up in the on Screen as to what volume level you are at.
now i have a new wireless creative keyboard but they dont supply any software with that sort of functionally, so i was wondering could someone do something like this. basically it is a display that shows on screen the status of the volume, the logitech one is best it is a big green thing at the bottom, it has VOLUME and underneath that a bar that changes when the volume changes, the windows one is a little window thing with it in but it looks ugly. Although i have found programs that do this the problem is that they dont stay underneath a game if it is running they take focus and the game minimizes, it is poor. But still you want the status to display ontop of programs like a web browser or media player just not in the game. if anyone can make something like this it would be greatly appreciated. |

KMPlayer and GOMPlayerI'm revisiting two excellent Korean media players that are surprising me with their polish and their small footprints. The KMPlayer doesn't even require installation, so you can throw it on a thumbdrive and take it and your media collection with you (you'll need to move the your preferred language .ini file out of the lang folder into the main program directory because the default is Korean). haven't played around with either of them that much, but what I am seeing so far is impressive. My mp3s sound great in both with no augmentation (add-ins or equalization) and they both handle a wide range of video as well. GOMPlayer is more polished but requires installation. It uses significantly fewer resources than the KMPlayer, though...
Ah well, who cares, right? I'm having fun playing around with both of them! I'm still using XMPlay as my default music player, for now. |

easm - The Win32 Assembler School ProjectThe Epsilon Assembler (easm) is a Win32 assembler whose main focus is Windows application development. I am developing easm as my final year degree project and I wanted to introduce the project to a wider audience and generate some interest.
The assembler is still in very early stages and currently only supports a small percentage of the overall design. In saying this however, easm is capable of creating some interesting things in its current state. My aim is to develop the project, even after it has served the educational purpose that it was created for, to be a fully functional assembler with little to no limits. I have released a BETA version of easm on the project website (http://e-asm.org) in the hope that people will test the assembler and report any potential bugs. Bug reporting is particularly important at this stage as I need some evidence that the application has been tested. ... easm makes extensive use of Win32 'imports' in order to import functionality from existing code, residing in dynamic link libraries. It is possible to import pretty much any function from any DLL (given its name) and then invoke the function in easm. This produces a huge library of inherited code, much like other languages have access to. |
