We Don't Even Own a Car
It was because I didn't get a Sob story. Sadly, people ask for money and then you find out they have custom furniture in their offices and drive a Rolls Royce etc. [on what made him donate]

blog clipart
Related to my post here, i'm looking for some tool that will allow me to design a custom planning page/calendar with tables like todo list, etc.

You know, like to make my own custom DayPlanner stuff for printing.

Im interested in hering from people who already have a solution for this that they are happy with.

Coding Snack: Allow input commands to be sent to background windows.

blog clipart
WriteThere!

It redirects all keyboard input to one window.
Click inside the target window and press F1 to redirect the input to it.
Press F1 twice fast to disable WriteThere.

Example:
Open Internet Explorer and Notepad, and place them side by side. Click inside Notepad and press F1 to redirect the keyboard. Now you can navigate your browser using the mouse, but everyting your write will end up in Notepad!

This is a beta if ever there was one! There's probably a lot of keys missing, it doesn't work with all programs, it disables global hotkeys, and so on.

Wolfram Alpha - DonationCoder Forum Discussion

blog clipart
It is late, and I'm tired, with a nasty developing headache, but I'm sure some DC readers are aware of Wolfram Alpha and are curious. I had the page loaded, with the nonworking "Launching in May" announcement, and when the announced they'd activated it, I refreshed and got in as soon as the page reloaded...

Updated for Sunday May 17, 2009 -- Read the latest posts in the forum for some extremely annoying facts about the engine..

Flight simulator site avsim.com loses 13 years of community data to hacker

Screenshot - 5_15_2009 , 7_34_08 AM_thumb.jpg
News like this makes my stomach turn over..

Avsim.com was a large community-driven flight simulator site -- and a hacker apparently destroyed 13 years worth of data on the main server, and wiped out a secondary server where they kept all the backups*.

*[It still seems hard for me to believe they don't have some backups offline].
