Latest Newsletter - Codename "I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OK"Hello, Donationcoders! Darwin here once again, reporting live from the wilds of British Columbia. It's an exciting time at Donationcoder because this month we're featuring a Cody drawing contest. Get out your crayons (or any other media of choice) and start drawing! Nick (aka nudone) announced the contest moments ago, so head to the Draw Cody competition - win incredible prizes! thread to find out what you need to do to win. Children's submissions are encouraged! And Josh created a great new master list of all the companies/programs from whom we have received discounts, and a list of companies we have requested discounts from but not heard back from. It should be easier now for everyone to suggest new companies we should contact. It's been a busy couple of weeks with a number of very active new threads. Read on to find out what Donationcoder members have been discussing.

Best Practices For Bulletproof E-Mail Delivery - avoid being treated like spamCould be a few gems in here.. Have your e-mails already been flagged as spam, although you’ve sent a seemingly legitimate proposal to your client? Have you ever wondered why the efficiency of your newsletter campaigns suddenly dropped down? In both cases you deal with a problem which is harder to get done with than you think it is: bulletproof e-mail delivery. http://www.smashingm...oof-e-mail-delivery/ |

CD Earth picks up where ThinkAll left offI wrote up a large blog post exposing a company called CD Earth, LLC which seems to be ThinkAll reopening their doors. This company is doing the exact same thing with the exact same software. Giving away free software for $2.95 shipping and shipping you extra CDs that if not returned in a prompt manner you will get charged $14.99/ CD for. Then you are agreeing to be enrolled in a Software Library Club where they will automatically charge you $5.95/CD to ship you CDs that you either have to return to them in a given time frame or be charged $14.99/CD. This company is doing nothing more then preying on people and ripping people off. My Blog post: http://www.veign.com...ll-one-big-scam.html Digg It: http://digg.com/soft...st_like_ThinkAll_did Lets get the word out and put a stop to this company. |

Firefox Plugins: Safe Cache and Safe HistoryI ran on to this site yesterday and wanted to pass it along.......I was rather impressed by the content: http://mashable.com/...7/08/29/firefox-god/ This article from Webware "Five must-have security/privacy extensions for Firefox" is excellent. There are two Firefox extensions I hadn't heard of, Safe Cache and Safe History: http://www.webware.c...ag=feed&subj=Webware |

Windows performance tips in one spotHey all, I realise that most, if not all, of us know about the tips posted on this site: http://9tutorials.co...an-never-before.html But it sure is nice to revisit some of these tweaks when things start acting strange. As always proceed with caution and know what you're doing before you undertake any of the advise on the above page (especially with regards to shutting down services). |
