My favorite Windows utilities - Part I
One essential software I use, to speed up program launching and even document opening is - Find and Run Robot aka FARR.
It is a extremely nifty software! The customizability and SDK availability for FARR allows you to introduce additional features catering your specific need. This was one of the reasons why i chose FARR over some others.

Flash Tower Game of the Day: Toytown Tower Defense

You may be getting sick of tower game posts but it find the genre irresistible.. Here's another one highlighted by JayIsGames.com, who always do a nice long writeup of the games they find - sounds like a fun game for kids especially.

Aesthetically, the game is great and the pixel art is full of all the joy you can expect with pixel art. The ersatz mix of arrows, cannons, a castle you're defending and a Space Marine with a laser gun make the game either thematically diluted or pleasantly diverse, depending on your disposition. The enemies consist of typically non-scary creatures, flying pigs and penguins and little jellies—once again this can either come across as distractingly underwhelming or whimsically cute.
