The Mircrypted File Viewer

Top  Previous  Next

The only way to decrypt your encrypted log files is by using the provided Mircrypted File Viewer.

NOTE: The encrypted log viewer is not provided in the LITE version download.

Start the viewer and type in the keyphrase which was used to encrypt your log files.

Drag and drop your encrypted log files onto the viewer or use the browse-for-file button to locate the file to load.  The decrypted version of the log file will be shown.

You can use copy&paste, or hit ctrl-F to search the log file.  And you can save the decrypted text to a new file.

You can specify the file to load and its password from the commandline, or use the Mircrypted File Viewer in a non-interactive mode to convert log files:

MircryptedFileViewer.exe [orig log file] [ orig pass [new log file [new pass] ] ]

TIPS:

File masks and search strings can contain multiple entries, just separate them with a semicolon.
To search for phrases, put multiple word strings in double quotes.
You can use the Mircrypted File Viewer to view your encrypted newsboard files(!), and even change their encryption passwords, or to encrypt plaintext logs.
