Having Fun with Scores |
Top Previous Next |
MircryptionBoard has a fun (and useless) feature which allows users to give each other points (or subtract points).
Total scores are kept track of automatically by the board in a special section called SCORES, which will be added automatically the first time that points are given. Scores can be positive or negative, and no check is performed on either the magnitude, recipient, or score reason.
Points don't actually have any meaning or serve any purpose, they are just a way of having fun. The Board will list the total score for each recipient and the recent explanations given for their score. It will also broadcast to the channel an announcement when scores are added.
An example:
If my nick is DarkRaichu and I add 100 points to PWStone, and give reason = "being a good person", then the following will be broadcast to the channel:
DarkRaichu gives PWStone 100 points for being a good person. Total = 100.
And the contents of the SCORES section will look like:
[NewsBot] ----------------------------------- [NewsBot] [SCORES] - Point Totals - 1 total, 0 new [NewsBot] 4. "PWSTONE 100 (100 points for being a good person)" - DarkRaichu, Sun Jan 4 14:02:21 2001 [NewsBot] -----------------------------------
Subsequent additions will be added to the total (shown immediately following the name). You can give people positive or negative points. Note that some people can become maniacal about accumulating points! |
