Making a standalone mirc floppy/cd for travel |

If you are traveling, you may want to prepare a stand-alone floppy or cd so that you can us mirc and mircryption from another computer without having to install any software.
If you make a cd rom of mirc to carry with you, you can simply burn the entire contents of your mirc directory onto the cdrom and run mirc from the cdrom drive.
If you want to create a floppy version, you will have to be more selective about what you copy and you will have to compress your mirc executable:
Keep in mind that Internet Cafes may have (possible hardware based) keylogging and other recording software on them, so that it may be impossible for you to prevent what you type and what you see on your screen from being recorded. |
