Key Length

The key length in mircryption can be anywhere from 4 to 56 characters long, and can include any ascii characters.

The 56 character limit does not count the "cbc:" prefix, so you can have cbc:56CHARS

Any characters beyond 56 are ignored and do not aid in encryption -- in fact they only make it more problematic when dealing with compatibility between clients.

(56 characters == 448 bits, hence the name of the algorithm Blowfish-448
