Working with Files from Another Program

WebcamVideoDiary is designed to work well with video and image files created by other programs.

WebcamVideoDiary will even detect file changes in the directories as you work, and show any newly discovered files or changed files.

That means that you can use any tool you want to create your video and image files, and work with them seamlessly from within FlipCap.

In order to help you manage your video files easily, WebcamVideoDiary displays a thumbnail for each video file.  When videos are recorded from within the program, WebcamVideoDiary creates these thumbnail images automatically.

However, if you create video files from another program -- these thumbnail won't yet exit.  In this case WebcamVideoDiary will display a generic image in the thumbnail panel.  Load the video file once and WebcamVideoDiary will create the thumbnail for you for use from that point on.
