Sharing Item Definition Files

Item Definition files are xml files which describes activities and rewards.

Point Motivator will load all item definition files it finds in its ItemDefs subdirectory of the program's installation directory , and in the UserItemDefs subdirectory of the folder where the user's configuration information is stored (which could be the application directory).

You can "install" new Item Definition files simply by placing them in the ItemDefs directory of the program and restarting Point Motivator (or choosing the "Reload Item Definition Files" menu item).

We recommend that you only store your own custom Item Definition files in the UserItemDefs\ subdirectory, where you know you can modify them without risk of them being overwritten, and install all 3rd party Item Definition files in the application ItemDefs\ subdirectory of the application folder.
